Summary of:
Misery Business, by Paramore
In this song, there is a woman whose very loving and apparently incredibly loyal boyfriend… left her for another woman. Instead of realizing her ex-boyfriend’s a manwhore, she decided the other woman is a bitch. When the other woman dumps the guy (perhaps she has realized he is a manwhore), the singer, who has been pining over her lost manwhore for months, begs for him to come back. Being able to recognize a free ride better than the singer is able to recognize a manwhore, the guy goes back to the convenience of the singer.
The singer sings about her triumph.
The sad thing is, I don’t believe this is a warning song about being stupid and letting guys take you for a ride. No. It appears to be a serious work about how valuable manwhores are, that pretty girls deserve to die, and that you should take pride in having a cast-off come back to you.
If I do not hear this song in 2009, I will be very happy.
